QUALITY CONTROL AND INSPECTION ..........

Knowlton Machine Engineering prides itself upon its record of meeting all customer expectations for all that it manufactures. Consistent with this philosophy, KME has installed large Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)in its manufacturing facility in order to efficiently measure all machined parts to whatever tolerances specified. This capability also allows for the inspection of complex, three dimensional, form surfaces that would otherwise be impractical to measure.

All measuring and inspection devices used by KME are calibrated traceable to national standards.

Notwithstanding this investment to assure that everything shipped from KME meets all dimensional requirements, Knowlton Machine Engineering also fully understands that final part inspection is but only one aspect of a full quality program. As can be attested by virtue of the fact that KME holds a Certificate of Authorization to build pressure vessels, we also perform intensive inspections over all manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, assembly, and design.

Finally, KME has a company-wide quality system in place which allows not only for the identification of materials from their procurement and then through the entire manufacturing process such that traceability to certification documents is maintained; but this quality system also allows for the determination of the all of the operators who performed all key manufacturing, examination, and inspection processes.
