Goal:
To leverage our ingenuity and ability to provide unique and demanding services in order to fill marketplace voids where those capabilities might be in short supply.
Challenge:
To manufacture ASME Code certified centrifugal blood plasma separation chambers and related components in accordance with extraordinarily stringent surface finish specifications.
Solution:
In order to assure that there could be no possibility of unmet expectations on either side, at its own cost, KME sent a Quality Control inspector, a fabricator, and a machinist to spend two days in the customer's facility. That time was spent participating in various assembly and inspection operations in order to fully understand not only the degree to which our products would be inspected, but also to appreciate the true necessity for that scrutiny.
Result:
By the customer's own testaments, KME was able to meet their requirements more quickly and more thoroughly than any other vendor in their history.
