HIGH PRESSURE, SUPER-CRITICAL FLUID CHAMBERS..........

Goal:
To form a strategic alliance with the manufacturer of high-pressure, supercritical fluid machine tools used to clean refined silicon wafers used in the production of advanced integrated circuit wafers.
Challenge:
To build ASME Div 1, and Div 2 pressure vessels consisting entirely of machined parts and completely devoid of any welded joints. The finish of all process side machined surfaces had to meet stringent decontamination specifications
Solution:
In order to form a true partnership with this customer, KME quickly obtained its ASME Division 2 Certificate of Authorization.  KME also developed and perfected the manufacturing techniques required in order to provide pressure chambers which could be electro-mechanically operated, and still maintain absolute pressure boundary integrity.
Result:
A mutually profitable relationship between two companies which transcended the typical customer / vendor paradigm, and which allowed the customer to evolve as the technology leader in its field.
